Watching the animation video below, I started to realize how the concept of using time lapse photos could have been a good alternative to an all digital video game of the early 80s. Can such things be done with the newest video games on the market today? Will people accept the digital hybrid gaming environment on their television or computer monitor screens? Will it take the same amount of hard work or more to construct each time lapse image as CGI (computer generated imagery) for the game story line? Perhaps so but the more important question is that will it be worth it?
Check out the Game Over by PES video then consider the idea. There is a hovering sense that any digital hybrid time lapse video game will seem like analog. Then again, in movies, CGI had been successfully added to enhance the user experience. So why not doing it the other way round to make digital hybrid video games? Real game characters is the wave of the future but a million possible game scenarios to shoot movie style is going to be an issue. Anyway, Hollywood superstars will have dollar signs shining in their eyes by reading this post.
