Chainsaw Mountain Lion

Chainsaw at hand, Jake the lumberjack walked towards the hundred year old spruce tree. The tree must have been the biggest he had ever seen in this forest. He got separated from his team because they had to maintain a particular distance from each other for safety purposes. He revs up his trusty chainsaw; its paint layer scratched all over leaving traces of rust after years of intense wear and tear. “RRRrrrrrRROOAARRR”, the chainsaw’s engine revved into action and Jake started to swing it towards the mighty spruce tree.

There was something else that roared too although Jake did not hear it. Jake was deep in focus, perhaps too deep. The muscular big cat pounced towards his side easily from ten feet away. Fortunately for Jake, the mountain lion missed his neck as he leaned inwards while maneuvering his chainsaw deeper into the tree. Jake felt the contact of the big cat on his body and that really startled him. The force from the contact made Jake fall over on his stomach while his chainsaw remained stuck inside the tree.

After he saw the Mountain lion on his back, Jake instinctively elbowed its face, got up and quickly ran away. He cried for help, hoping his teammates would hear him. The mountain lion pursued and Jake ran deeper into the woods. Whenever he thought he lost his feline pursuer, the big cat would reveal itself in the distance, stalking him like its inevitable prey.
