Alaste’s Keen Bio-Engineering Interest

Alaste reminisced the moment when he silently about how his body had changed, his hair in particular. He used to have thick, vibrant hair, fully covering his entire scalp. Alaste’s life back then seemingly made him feel invincible; perched on his speedy black motorcycle as though life just went ahead of him and he remains without aging in a psychological time warp.

He reluctantly accepts the truth that his body is truly aging on, in reality; disconnected from his psyche. Only now does Alaste realizes, upon this act of looking back at his life in his early 20s, a full 15 years ago until today had been a life of denial. He did not choose that state of denial psyche.

For the most part, he had no concrete understanding of aging. Alaste was a young man; like many other young men who did not have the knowledge, guidance or the experience of wasted years to actually grasp the concept of aging; crucial to appreciating an otherwise objectively productive future. His life now is not that of an objectively productive present so he has no regrets.

Nonetheless, Alaste is now much more knowledgeable. He has picked up foreign languages, computers, and basic understanding of biochemistry, math, and physics from years of etching out a sub standard income off the internet. Most importantly, Alaste has visualized an encompassing goal; the yearning to work on human cells and bring humankind onto a new level of physical progress as some scientists would put it - to help humans evolve.

He has taken a keen interest in bio-engineering, particularly in the study of human cells, namely for faster tissue regeneration in how to overcome the issue of aging. Right now, programming nanobots to assists in such purpose is his favorite idea. Another idea of his is to use pathogens. Basically the idea would be to genetically modify a virus and use that virus to enhance the capabilities of the human cell. It might also be possible to improve human DNA itself for the human cells to have properties of super fast cell in tissue replication and regeneration for anti aging and absolute health purposes.

Alaste feels that the aforementioned purpose of studying bio-engineering is worth his remaining life span as a human being. Are his ideas worthy of being pursued and made a reality or are his ideas best just to remain as only science fiction in this Movie Ideas category of a blog and never attempted?
