Will the USD go lower than RM3 per $1 this year? Seems this target is closer than ever. Popular charts show the USD on a smooth decline month after month. Where and when is the bottom? Many Americans are seen buying more a gold coin or two rather than having their money in their own national currency – shows how much confidence Americans have in the USD and the US economy right now.
Does a non US citizen who has some earnings in US currency wait for the storm to pass-by or cash out with whatever he has now? A few hundred bucks changed into Ringgit Malaysia now will still see me short of RM110 as when the USD was RM3.6 to a dollar last year. However this currency conversion issue is easy for me. When I have to use the money in Malaysia then I cash-out my USD whatever the price. If not then I let my money stay in USD. I can’t do anything much about the price fluctuations anyway.
