Match Color: Making the Colors in the Final Image P-O-P!

I don’t have the time to go about twiddling so many things in Photoshop during the post-edit stage of my 3ds Max images. Therefore I make things simpler for myself yet still get the results that I want. This is how I make the colors in the final image P-O-P using Photoshop.

a. Right-click on ‘Original’ layer -> Choose ‘Duplicate’ -> Name new layer as ‘Match_Color’
b. Click on ‘Auto Tone’, ‘Auto Contrast’, & ‘Auto Color’ as required
c. Go to ‘Image’ in main menu -> Adjustments -> Match Color
d. Adjust ‘Luminance’ to best natural looking brightness (range around max 140-160 will suffice depending on nature of design)
e. Adjust ‘Color Intensity’ to best natural looking color P-O-P-ping out (max range same as above though some designs make require a full 200)
f. Click ‘OK’ and save the ‘.jpg’ with maximum quality

Now the work is done & ready to be shown to the client!

Three Ts of Digital Photography

Computers and cellular phones, mobility and microchips – these are the trademarks of the world today. We live in a world continually changed by technology. Even the arts have continually changed due to technology. Think of it: from charcoal drawings to painting to photography to digital photography, we have come a long way in the visual arts. We have used various methods in capturing life and freezing time. New technology is continually being developed to make art easier and more fun. However, you should know that the art of digital photography is not as simple as aim and shoot.

The art of digital photography needs skill in order to pull off properly. Although some people may reason out that digital photography art can always be edited, many people do not really know how much work editing can be. Oh sure, we can say that technology has reached a level wherein a person needs to do practically nothing in order to achieve a great photograph, but of course, you need to know how to use the tools properly in order to do that.

The art of digital photography, in order to be truly mastered, needs three T's: Time, talent and tactical placement of equipment. No, that's not right. You need time, talent and treasure. Just what does this mean?

1) Time – one cannot be an instant expert in digital photography. You need to take the time to learn all about it. Even though you are some sort of protégé who has the talents of a genius, you actually need training to hone that talent. Remember that for all its power, a steamroller cannot be used to do the work of a hammer. There is wisdom in harnessing power properly. Taking the time to train your self in the art of digital photography is something akin to sharpening a knife using a grindstone or forging a fine katana (that's the Japanese samurai sword) by heating it and folding it over a thousand times –it may be painful, but it is necessary to produce the best.

2) Talent – of course, you need a bit of inherent talent in order to be truly great at the art of digital photography. You need to have an eye for the subjects that would make a great photograph. Otherwise, you will only end up being mediocre in a field that requires greatness. Of course, the proper training can actually enhance your inherent talent and help you sharpen your skills in the art of digital photography.

3) Treasure – as said before, you will need the proper tools in order to be successful in the art of digital photography. This means that you will need to invest a lot of cash. Although there are a lot of digital art photography equipment that can be bought at inexpensive prices, the best equipment needs some serious pocket digging. This, of course, tests your courage because there's nothing scarier to a man than having to pull out his wallet in the name of an untested interest.

Once you have invested money in the art of digital photography, there's no turning back. The art of digital photography may seem like it requires a lot. However, in order to be truly successful in something you need love and love always requires sacrifice. You should keep that in mind.

I don’t agree to such liabilities especially since we have nothing to do with the project of such scale (us$2.5 million).

Furthermore, this action might incur suspicion in Malaysia from Bank Negara (Malaysian National Bank) of money laundering activity as well as subject to me being blacklisted in Russia in event that deal is bad (cheating the Russian government etc). So please don’t allow my name to be used as fabricated investor for that US$2.5 million Casino project.

It is inevitable to think of photography as a Visual art. Thought I Left My Baseball Cap at the Party

I just finished my shift over at the pizza place. There was small party; the workers were sitting on a big rectangular table; we were having a feast. I didn’t stay there for long though – as usual I had to be busy doing a project. I walked out to the car but somehow I ended up being driven home by Nizam (a co-worker at the pizza place) in a left-side driver machine. Also he took the long route through Shamelin Perkasa and some dark & lonely road. I thought to myself, “Looks like I’ll have to pick up the car in the morning.” That morning I went to the pizza place.

I thought I left my baseball cap there and I looked briefly in my sling bag and I thought for sure it was not in there. Apparently many co-workers left their caps behind and some jerseys too. Farid (another co-worker at the pizza place) was handling the returns of the items. I took the opportunity to ask him how he was and about his operation to rid of the suspected ulcer in his throat. I browsed at the rows of caps for mine. All of them had initials on them. I did not put my initials on my cap. Mine had a small tear on the front rim on the inside. I decided to search my sling bag again. By now I found my cap. It was tucked deep inside my sling bag. I did not forget it in the first place.

Onion News Networks (ONN) does a barrel of laughs once again with the World Of World Of Warcraft video. This idea is simply ridiculous & ONN thrives on the ridiculous! I got to hand it to them. This video is so funny that is the third instance that I have watched it. Who the heck wants to play a game about yourself as a character playing a game in which the character of you can play World Of Warcraft?!! This video is not stopping at that level of stupidity. The creators of the World Of World Of Warcraft game mention that they are working on a World Of World Of World Of Warcraft sequel - something I think only absolute retards with the collective brain power of a single monkey would find amusing. I can’t even begin to describe that game. LOL! TUNE IN!

Apparently I Have to P-A-Y to Get Things Out of My O-W-N Box Myself!

Now I’m in a big place perhaps in an airport like how this dream turns out later in this story. I had some kind of safety deposit box here. It was a pretty big one too. I could fit a big tennis bag in there; full of things (which I actually did by the way). Among the items was a picture frame. I was about to throw this junk away until I saw it had a faint negative etching of my ex-girlfriend’s; Miza’s face on the glass. Mind you, I did not keep it because of her but rather because of the unique etching that happened to be her face. Huhu. So I put that back where I found it. I started sifting through my other stuff in here – was very happy to see photos of my Minem Janim Gulfiya.

Then I looked at two of my electronic paintings which I placed on digital papers. Apparently one of the paintings was out zoomed wrong. I was fiddling with the linear zoom controls accentuating the side of this digital paper. The more I fiddled the more engrossed I became with my painting. It was colored sky blue overall and had yellow stars strategically placed on the lower left side. I asked to myself, “What does this all mean?”

All of a sudden I felt a tap on my right shoulder. I did not bother to turn around. Anyway before I could do so this dude appeared on my right side and said, “You’re messaging!” Frankly I was quite embarrassed by this and quickly put the paintings away to greet my cousin Najib. Earlier in the day I got news that my other cousin Khalil and his wife were going to the airport to pick-up Najib who was returning from Mekah, Saudi Arabia.

In real life this scenario would be very unlikely to happen because these people are my cousins from different sides of my family and don’t know each other. Anyway – moving on with this story: met with Najib, Khalil and his wife. We all walked over to the exit door nearby. I left them at that point and went back to my safety deposit box. I asked a few attendants whether it was possible to take some of my clothes out. This attendant was busy with a customer and pointed I go to the female attendant nearby.

She then told me its all right to take my belongings out of my safety deposit box as long as I paid for it. Apparently I have to pay to get things out of my own box! I’m already paying a monthly bill for this box and I must pay again to get my own things out of it? This must be another sheet-of-bird system. Heck, I really more than dislike these kinds of rip-offs. “Got to look into not using this service and avoiding other sheet-of-bird systems,” I said to myself.

All of a sudden Khalil pops out his head over the side of the ‘soon-to-be-terminated’ box as though in a rush to be elsewhere. He said, “Mak Long (his mum) wants us to bring Najib for dinner at a nearby restaurant.” I nodded and said that I will join them later. Talking about dinner makes me hungry. I found a bag of chips in this box – seems like I can find anything I want here (notice that I’m not saying ‘my box’ anymore to discard any personal attachment I have with the box which I soon will stop using).

I got my white Polo shirt out and laid some potato chips by the side and started snacking away. The female attendant walked past and stopped to look at me. She shook her head left and right as though signaling I was doing something incorrectly. Well, I signaled to her that I was going to pay for taking my Polo shirt out of my box – I’m not having a problem and do not require her assistance at the moment. Then she came over to me anyway and said, “Sir, you are not allowed to eat here.” Huhuuhhahahh.

No Pretty Chinese Lady to Serve Me

Hah! So I went to the Chinese shop yesterday morning. At first I was at lost to where this shop was situated. I arrived at his previous place of employment which was the Bismillah Kosas Curry House. I then called up Mohd. Norulaini on my cellphone. It was easy after I got the directions from him. Apparently the shop is named Yong Yong and there was no pretty Chinese lady at the counter to serve me. Huhu. There was a young man there instead. At least there was a lady attendant who seemed perplexed by my presence there - bought my’501’s and a small pack of peanuts and left.

Kosas to Buy Some Really Cheap Cigarettes

Went to a Chinese shop in Kosas to buy some really cheap cigarettes. I asked for two cartons of different brands and went over to the counter to pay for them. Then this chick, quite pretty asked me about China all of a sudden. Since I had been to China before, I made a conversation out of it. Told her about what I did like walking around town for hours, went to the Great Wall of China and also that I stayed in a two star hotel and did all the travel arrangements on my own. I’m going to find this shop soon, perhaps tomorrow in the evening, so I shall see whether things will be like in my dream. Huhu.

I was in a car, sitting in the backseat. On my left was a chocolate super liberal chick. Khairil was sitting next to her on the other side. They were talking about stuff which I paid no attention to. Apparently Khairil was trying to work his charm on her. Its not surprising as the chick possesses above average beauty. They were talking to each other and Khairil said to her, “Let me kiss you.” He complied and this surprised me as I did not think that she was this easily accessible. Their kiss was more like a brief smooch really. She did not show any enthusiasm when they kissed. She barely parted her lips. From that I knew she has no feelings for him.

I’m sitting on the side minding my own business actually nagging to myself about having to analyze her action; you know the ‘eyes rolling’ sort of thought that intrudes in your mind. Then of all a sudden she got closer to me. Her face close to mind – so close I could smell her faint sweet perfume. Then we kissed. Our lips locked on each others. We kissed; I could feel she was enthusiastic about it through her kiss. It was a full-on kiss- nothing puckish about this. Naturally, to seal the moment I backed my lips away from the locked sensuous wetness, ever so gently, a slight breath apart later came back to her awaiting lips with a little extra enjoyment of the pleasure – a lover’s kiss.

She said she knows me through my kiss. ”We were together once” she said to me. “We consummated our love at the basement in a building nearby”. “Don't you remember me?” she added. Her kiss and words felt so good that she must have been mine once (though I doubt it but would have been one hell of a ‘good’ tryst anyway!)

Surprised to See Caucasian Girl Doing Arabic Calligraphy

I was peering into the activity going on in this studio. It seems like a lecturer is going about tables to comment on students works. I decided to listen in on one of these things for a minute and found that these works are based on Arabic calligraphy. This does not interest me much, really so I went browsing about around the study looking for something that might interest me. After making my way around the studio I returned to the same table where I first went to. This table was covered with satin sheet and the work was laid and arranged nicely on top of this. Before I could think about this student creator was I found myself peering under the table and to my surprise there was a girl sitting there working on stuff. I smiled at her and even more surprised to see this Caucasian girl doing Arabic calligraphy. Somehow I felt like we bonded without words.

I must have said something about her table being pretty and well presented because she told me that she made this table herself. The table is actually balanced on a bunch of stackable chairs and the weight of this installation is the very thing that makes it balanced and solid. I was quite amazed with her table and I must admit I was impressed too. I asked her to have lunch with me. She didn’t say anything – not even a nod. She just got her stuff and we walked out of the big studio. The door wasn’t far away. We walked and walked and took in the scenery. This big dude who looks like Hulk Hogan in office shirt and pants walks past on my side and brushes his elbow on my left shoulder. Maybe it is some kind of weird gesture of some kind. No big deal; next time I’ll make contact his elbow with mine instead of using my shoulder.

Now moving on with this story; my self and this lady continued walking nonetheless and then we lay side by side on a big soft satin covered bed. I held her hand. I felt her fingers. They were slimmer than my wife’s. Each time I caressed these fingers I thought of my wife. Is it only a physical bond between me and this girl beside me now? Surely there must me some feelings (perhaps later – don’t matter to me because it feels good anyway). Suddenly she said, “see you” then left my room like a white blurry ghost. I was in a deep sleep and struggled to wake myself up to follow her.
