Scene: Little Girl Belongs with Her Real Father

The little girl says in her sleep, seen by her mum who is sitting and looking at her from the side of the bed, “Daddy, I want to be with you.” The step-father who is further away behind the mother looks from afar. Upon hearing these words the father gives an emphatic face and he now knows what he must do.

Repeat the image of the little girl in the bed and the shift to the father making calls. Behind him is a busy four-way junction. The street arrives diagonally from the junction at the top right. He is using the public phone because his cellphone ran out of batteries. He peers to the side and looks into the street worried about something; perhaps his car is double parked nearby.

How to Feel A1

It rains outside and you feel gloomy and dull. Both your favourite music and movie don’t raise your spirits anymore and what’s more you don’t feel like walking out tonight.  There’s nothing left to do but to stare at the TV set and click the channels every few seconds. But that’s a sheer waste of time. Cheer up! And start doing something interesting every day. What can it be? Who should you ask for a piece of advice? Hate to tell you, but there is nobody to help you. To put it figuratively, if you’re drowning, it’s sink or swim. No one knows you better than you do. It’s necessary to find your cup of tea to feel A1 all the time. Ask people around you what makes them feel contented. But remember what one man’s meat is another man’s poison. Then you’ll say to yourself, what a wonderful world! And it’s unforgivable to mope when it rains outside and you feel gloomy and dull.

Don't Prefer Desktops to Laptops

Just had two of my old PC systems retired yesterday. The unexpected happened - hard disk started emitting sparks and smoke. Real tired of going into desktop innards and figuring out what went wrong. That's why I'm going to get a new laptop to replace these two. I hope this is a blessing in disguise. At least I won't have to perform maintenance on so many computers anymore. Hope there's is more. Anyway, this event reminded me of how I don't prefer desktops to laptops. This happened for a reason. I almost forgot about the maintenance and cleaning part and how heavy the desktop is to bring to the shops for repair. Right, so much hassle. Don't care whether a laptop is underpowered as compared to a desktop with the same specs. Really don't care.

Ranting on My Future as a Game Developer

I can’t go full time on this game development thing because I am still in the learning stages. I can’t sit around at home exploring the facets of game development without having at least a decent income to support me and my family. Should I have a million dollars (maybe even $300,000) to support myself and my family for the rest of our lives in a mediocre fashion then I would kick back and create a video game because this is the next logical step. So right now my priority is to work as a 3D artist because these projects give me money.

All else in the game development spectrum will have to be kept-in-view (KIV). No, probably totally shelved until I have at least $300,000. This includes scripting work in 3ds Max, Maya and everywhere else. Technical art is the name of the game now. This is my life project that will make me $300,000 so I can start a new life - a life creating video games. Now the best I can do is lean my technical art towards video games for a smoother transition after this life project of mine is done. I hope to get on with my next life in 5 years from now. Oh FOOK this! Who am I kidding? I do what I have to do.
