Crestor Drug Creating a Dangerous Fuss among Consumers

Another prescription drug that is causing a lot of fuss among consumers these days is Crestor for people with high LDL cholesterol, high total cholesterol, and triglycerides. Crestor is also known as Rosuvastatin and R2, marketed by AstraZeneca.

This drug has been scientifically linked to very dangerous side effects like causing heart attacks and heart failure. Consumers still must be cautious about prescription drugs even though the drug has been approved by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and also consider a Crestor lawsuit in this case.

Despite the fact that in 2004, a consumer advocacy group filed a petition with the FDA to remove the drug from the market, the FDA has instead in February 2010, approved Crestor to prevent cardiovascular events. Other side effects include cardiomyopathy (deterioration of the myocardium), rhabdomyolysis (breakdown of muscle fibers), and ventricular dysfunction. Avoid using this drug!
