Business Meal Etiquette

So your boss or potential boss, client, etc decides to set up a meeting or interview in a strange place, such as a hotel lobby. First things first, get there early, find a comfortable, quiet place and sit calmly while waiting. You should take a few steps around to release some tension too.

If an interviewer wants to catch you off-guard, they will arrange a business meal at a local restaurant. At this meal, there are some key points you need to keep in mind. Your social graces will be observed and you will be considered as a whole person. Most of the time, a meal interview is the second interview, so you are under strong consideration and also intense scrutiny. Over ordering food or drink can signal poor self-discipline, which will call into question your judgment and maturity. If you are rude to waiters and bus people it shows that you will not get along with subordinates and thus, possess poor leadership skills.

First of all, you will want to avoid alcohol because it fuzzes your mind and cognition. If you do have a light wine, never order more than one glass. Water is a much better choice, but if your interviewer is ordering alcohol then you are free too also.

Smoking is tricky. If your interviewer is a smoker, and he/she lights up, you may join, but never light up during a meal.

Never order something really messy, like spaghetti or sloppy joe, and never speak with your mouth full. It is easier to order the same thing that your interviewer does. Do not change your order once it is made and never send the food back. Do not order expensive food. Don’t order anything with bones.

Finally, if the waiter puts the bill in front of you, do not touch it. It is the interviewer’s duty to pay it; you should never offer to share payment. Thank the host for the wonderful meal.

Cancer Causing Diabetis Drug in Market Since 1999

Isn’t a pity how people take some form of modern medicine in an effort to be cured then end up in a worst situation than before? I mean some people for example suffer from Diabetes and take a drug like Actos to help with their condition yet end up suffering from an even worse disease – Cancer! How messed up is this? Actos users check this out: actos cancer lawyers

I’m not saying that modern medicine is bad in general. It’s not, cold pills make me feel great (hopefully, no crazy side effects there). I’m just saying that the kind of drugs that are supposed to help but instead make things worst should not be in the market in the first place. For your information, Actos(Piogliatazone) is manufactured by Takeda Pharmaceuticals for treatment of Type II Diabetes, and has been on the market since 1999. What kind of sick Pharmaceutical market are we in today?

“Voyeur” Fad of Social Networking Websites May Pass

Without social networking websites, you would have to connect with internet users, often in chat rooms, and learn about their interests before deciding if you would like to consider them your “buddy.” Social networking sites allow you to learn information about another internet user before ever having to make contact with them. This could be a friend of your friend, or “buddies” of your “buddies” - you know, something viral and fun like browsing a stranger’s photos & posts in a semi-voyeuristic way; all without the need to get to know the person you just “befriended”.

The “voyeur” fad may tend to get boring but for a group of people who actually do know each other, social networking sites are still great for staying in touch, quick status alerts & getting feedbacks. Advertisers & Businesses find them great too and before long, the viral exposure businesses enjoy now might not come free for them anymore.

Dari Melaka ke Double Quarter Pounder

Double Quarter Pounder Yum! Yum! Huhuhu..

So hamba gi-la McD sebelum subuh. Baru habis ambik "fresh air" awal pagi. 7200 langkah diambil hamba. Sampai hamba ke McD hamba bertanya tuan hamba,"Ada Double Quarter Pounder ke?" Tuan hamba menjawab selamba,"Breakfast saja."

Hamba musykil kenapa begitu awal sudah xde menu biasa. Hamba pula bertanya,"Pukul berapa berhentinya menu biasa?" Tuan hamba tidak menjawab apa-apa. Hamba rasa tiada gunanya bertanya tuan hamba lalu berkata,"Ok, ok."

Hamba terasa disappointed lalu berkata,"Damn it!"

Lantas hamba mula beredar dari kaunter dan menoleh belakang, mengangkat tangan sedikit dan berkata kepada tuan hamba,"Tak pe." Tuan hamba pula senyum sahaja. Bukannya hamba nak sangat pun makan McD Double Quarter Pounder - beef bacon strips pun xde.
